The Hotel

It all started in the 1980s, when the estate initially served as a summer vacation residence for the Kalomirakis family, a family with strong roots in the area. But year after year, more and more visitors to Elafonisi asked for accommodation in the residence, in order to extend their stay, fascinated by the magical Elafonisi beach. This was amplified by the long and winding road to Chania city, and the absence of adequate bus routes to the area. One thing led to the other, and many of the rooms of the vacation residence started functioning as guestrooms, in order to care for an ever-growing number of visitors. Since then, and for about the last 35 years, the Kalomirakis family has been inseparably linked to the very friendly, traditional hospitality in the area of the famous Elafonisi beach.
